Membership administration and fee collection (contract performance; legitimate interest).
Sending newsletters and event information (consent).
Handling questions and requests (legitimate interest).
Political campaigns and internal polls (legitimate interest; consent where required).
Compliance with legal obligations, e.g. tax law (legal obligation).
Website statistics and functionality via cookies (consent for non-essential cookies).
4 Sharing personal data
We never sell your data. We share it only with:
Hosting and email provider (EU) – website and email services.
Payment service provider/bank (EU) – SEPA direct debits.
Google LLC (YouTube, Maps) – embedded content and analytics (US, EU-US DPF or SCCs).
WordPress, Complianz and Elementor – CMS and cookie management (EU).
All processors are bound by data-processing agreements.
5 Retention periods
Member and donor records: 2 years after membership ends.
Financial records (invoices, SEPA mandates): 7 years; mandates 14 months after last debit.
Newsletter data: until you unsubscribe.
Website statistics: 26 months, then anonymised.

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, objection, and withdrawal of consent. Send your request to info@studentenstad.nl; we will respond within one month. If you have complaints, you can contact the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
9 International transfers
When processing outside the EEA, we apply appropriate safeguards (EU-US Data Privacy Framework or SCCs) to ensure an adequate level of protection.
10 Changes
We publish changes on studentenstad.nl and inform you in case of significant modifications.
