Hi! I am Wieke and this year I am the leader for Student en Stad. In 2020, I moved to Groningen and I have been living here for about six years with great pleasure. Here I started the bachelor International Business, after which I did a board year at EBF. Currently, I am finishing my master in International Financial Management.

My involvement with Student en Stad began in November 2021, when I became a candidate for the 2022 elections. Since then, I have remained active within the party and in 2024 I joined the municipal council. From the very first moment, Student en Stad felt to me like the voice that Groningen needs.

I have come to know Groningen as a city where students can enjoy friendliness, kindness, and liveliness. Precisely because I have enjoyed my student time here so much, I find it important to contribute to preserving that Groningen. I want to ensure that future generations can have just as wonderful a time here.
